Leverage the matching service of Alibris for Libraries
Micro Tech Training Center offers training programs in the allied health fields. When I started at the library in 2007, we had no system for circulation and no accounts for purchasing books. The school is seeking accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and one of the requirements is to have a functioning library. I knew I needed to build the collection.

I'm a one-person operation so finding the easiest place to purchase was really important to me. I turned to Alibris for Libraries because of their matching service. I sent over a file of about 200 titles and asked for price quotes. The list included general education and career development titles as well as medical related titles.
I looked at general booksellers before turning to Alibris, but found Alibris to be the best choice for what I needed. I was able to give a range of classification codes and Alibris searched for appropriate titles in those areas. Their customer service department communicated very well with me and was really helpful in filling my order. Within a month or so the titles started coming in.
Service is really important to me and with Alibris for Libraries I have received great service. I hope to implement quarterly ordering in the future, assuming the funding is available.
