Special Shipping Offer—free shipping on orders of 7 books
For libraries in the continental USA, we have a great offer for you this spring. Simply order 7 or more books to receive free shipping! This is the perfect time to obtain any unfilled open orders, lingering want list titles, firm orders and more. While orders of 2-6 items will cost a bit more during this promotional period if you choose to have the books consolidated in our warehouse, you can always select our direct-from-seller shipping option to receive the same price as before. Please let us know if you have any questions about this shipping offer.
Want Lists—match lists efficiently and effectively
Although you can always search for books one at a time at Alibris for Libraries, we've also got terrific ways to match entire lists of books in batches. Check out our enhanced Want List Matching System today. You can likely save your library lots of time and money by matching lists of lost, stolen or missing titles. As well as otherwise unfilled open orders, or titles needed for routine collection development. Let us know if you have any questions about how to match more books with fewer clicks.
Wishlists—save and share lists, indefinitely and indiscriminately
But even if you're not ready to place orders, it's a good idea to save titles to a Wishlist, which you can then share with colleagues, or use to attach notes to titles (such as fund codes, requestor names, and the like), or download to a local file and then sort or otherwise manipulate to heart's content. Seriously, Wishlists are cool.
Blogs—was only a matter of time
Sure, we've got a little Facebook page going; Twitter too. But now our Alibris retail counterparts have upped the ante by getting their blog on—meet Uncorrected Proofs. And while you're at it, check out our own little Hard-to-Find Blog, and let's see if we can't turn it into a resource for libraries looking for hard-to-find books (and music, and movies, and services).
Alibris Tip: Direct-ship option
Many libraries are choosing to have one- or two-book orders shipped directly from the sellers (with invoices to follow from Alibris) via our relatively new direct-ship option, but please be careful upon checkout to choose consolidated shipping for those larger orders which qualify for free shipping. Let us know anytime you may have questions about how to get your books shipped to you the best way.
